What is Trifix?

Trifix (TRIFIX ARTISAN NETWORK LTD) is a technology platform that connects clients with vetted, professional artisans in Uyo, Port Harcourt, and surrounding areas. We facilitate secure payments through our Escrow system, verify artisan identities and skills, and provide dispute resolution support.

Where does Trifix operate?

Currently, Trifix serves clients and artisans in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and Port Harcourt, Rivers State. We are rapidly expanding to other Nigerian cities. Sign up to be notified when we launch in your area.

Is Trifix a registered company?

Yes. TRIFIX ARTISAN NETWORK LTD is duly incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. Our registration number is available on our Regulatory Compliance page.

How do I contact Trifix customer support?

You can reach us via:

How do I book an artisan on Trifix?

Booking is simple:

  1. Download the Trifix app or visit our website.
  2. Select the service category you need (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  3. Describe your job, upload photos if helpful, and set your budget.
  4. We'll match you with available verified artisans.
  5. Review artisan profiles, ratings, and quotes; then confirm your booking.
  6. Make payment into Escrow to secure the booking.
What happens after I book an artisan?

The artisan will confirm the booking and communicate with you via in-app chat to agree on a suitable time. On the scheduled day, the artisan arrives, performs the work, and requests your 4-digit Completion Code upon finishing. Only release the code when you are fully satisfied.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, you can cancel a booking. The refund amount depends on when you cancel:

  • Before artisan is dispatched: Full refund (minus non-refundable booking fee).
  • After artisan is en route: Refund minus transport fee (₦2,000–₦5,000).
  • After work has started: You must raise a dispute; refund determined by evidence.

See our full Refund Policy for details.

What if the artisan doesn't show up?

If the artisan fails to arrive within the agreed time window and does not communicate a valid reason, you can cancel the booking through the app and receive a 100% full refund of all Escrow funds. The artisan may be penalized. We will also attempt to rematch you with another available artisan.

Am I protected if something gets damaged during the job?

Trifix facilitates communication and Escrow, but artisans are independent contractors responsible for their workmanship. If damage occurs:

  • Document the damage with photos immediately.
  • Do not release the Completion Code.
  • Raise a dispute through the app within 48 hours.
  • Trifix will review evidence and may mediate a resolution, including using Escrow funds for repairs.

Trifix does not provide insurance; clients are advised to verify their own home insurance coverage.

How do I become a Trifix Verified Artisan?

Visit the "Become an Artisan" page on our website or download the Trifix Artisan app. Complete the registration form, upload your government-issued ID, and provide details about your skills and experience. We will contact you to schedule an in-person verification and skills assessment. The process is free and typically takes 3–5 business days.

What are the requirements to join?
  • Valid government-issued ID (NIN, Driver's Licence, or International Passport).
  • Proof of address within our service areas (Uyo or Port Harcourt).
  • Demonstrable skill in your chosen trade (portfolio, certification, or practical assessment).
  • Smartphone capable of running the Trifix Artisan app.
  • Bank account for receiving payments.
  • Good character and willingness to adhere to Trifix's code of conduct.
How and when do I get paid?

Once you complete a job, request the 4-digit Completion Code from the client. When the client provides the code and you enter it into the app, the Escrow funds are released instantly to your registered bank account (subject to standard interbank settlement times). Trifix deducts the agreed service fee before payout. You never have to chase clients for payment.

What fees does Trifix charge artisans?

Trifix charges a service fee (commission) on each completed job. The fee percentage varies by service category and is clearly displayed before you accept any job. The fee covers payment processing, client acquisition, marketing, and platform maintenance. There are no hidden charges or upfront costs to join.

What happens if a client refuses to release the code?

If you have completed the work as agreed and the client unreasonably withholds the code, you should raise a dispute through the app within 48 hours. Trifix will review the evidence (chat logs, photos of completed work, etc.). If we determine the work was satisfactorily completed, we will release the Escrow funds to you. Consistent unreasonable behavior by a client may lead to account restrictions.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes. When a client posts a job, they may specify a budget. You can submit a quote based on your assessment of the job scope. Trifix does not dictate pricing; however, we encourage competitive and fair rates to maintain client satisfaction.

What if I need to cancel a job I accepted?

We understand emergencies happen. However, cancellations inconvenience clients and damage trust. If you must cancel, do so as early as possible through the app. Frequent cancellations may result in penalties (deduction from wallet), lower visibility in search results, or account suspension. A cancellation penalty equal to 5% of the job value may apply.

What is Trifix Escrow and how does it protect me?

Trifix Escrow is a secure payment holding service that protects both clients and artisans.

  • Client pays the agreed amount to our licensed payment partners (Paystack/Monnify).
  • Funds are held in a segregated Escrow account, not by Trifix directly.
  • Artisan knows payment is secured and performs the work.
  • Client receives a unique 4-Digit Completion Code upon booking.
  • Funds are released to the artisan only after the client provides the code, confirming satisfaction.
Never pay artisans directly outside the app! This voids all Trifix protections.
How much does Trifix charge clients?

Clients pay the full agreed job amount. A small, non-refundable booking fee (typically 5%) is included in the total displayed price. This fee covers platform operations, artisan vetting, and support. The artisan receives the job amount minus the Trifix service fee.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payments via:

  • Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve)
  • Bank Transfer (via Paystack/Monnify virtual accounts)
  • USSD (for select banks)
  • Trifix Wallet (funded by any of the above)
Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Trifix does not store your full card details. All payment processing is handled by Paystack and Monnify, which are PCI-DSS Level 1 certified and licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Your financial data is encrypted and secure.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are processed from the Escrow funds held for the specific job. The amount depends on the cancellation timing and circumstances. See our Refund Policy for full details. Refunds to bank accounts typically take 5–10 business days.

What does 'Trifix Verified' mean?

'Trifix Verified' means the artisan has successfully completed our multi-stage vetting process:

  • Identity Verification: Government-issued ID (NIN, Passport, Driver's Licence) checked and facial biometric matching.
  • Skill Assessment: In-person or portfolio-based evaluation by our local quality assurance team.
  • Background Screening: Reference checks and review of past work history.

While this reduces risk, it does not guarantee artisan conduct. Clients should still exercise normal caution.

Does Trifix track artisan location?

Yes, for safety and operational efficiency. When an artisan accepts a job and is en route, the app shares their real-time location with the client. Location tracking stops after the job is completed. This feature helps ensure accountability and allows clients to estimate arrival times.

What safety precautions should I take as a client?
  • Secure valuables before the artisan arrives.
  • Ensure someone else is present if possible.
  • Communicate only through the Trifix app (chat is recorded).
  • Do not pay cash or transfer money outside the app.
  • Report any suspicious behavior immediately via the app or to support.
Are artisans insured?

Artisans on Trifix are independent contractors and are not covered by Trifix's corporate insurance. We strongly encourage artisans to maintain their own liability insurance. Clients should verify their own home or business insurance coverage before engaging services. Trifix's liability is limited as set forth in our Terms of Service.

What if I'm unhappy with the completed work?

DO NOT release your 4-Digit Completion Code!

Contact Trifix support immediately (within 48 hours) through the app's "Raise Dispute" function. Provide clear photos and description of the issue. Trifix will review all evidence and may arrange for an inspection. Your funds remain safe in Escrow during this process. See our Dispute Resolution Policy.

How long does dispute resolution take?

We aim to resolve most disputes within 3–5 business days after receiving all necessary evidence. Complex cases may take longer. You will be notified via the app and email of the progress and final decision.

What evidence is needed for a dispute?

We rely on Platform-generated evidence:

  • In-app chat logs between client and artisan.
  • Photos/videos uploaded through the dispute form.
  • Job description and agreed scope.
  • Timestamps of arrival and completion attempts.

External evidence (WhatsApp messages, calls) is given less weight and may be disregarded.

Is Trifix's dispute decision final?

For disputes involving Escrow amounts of ₦150,000 or less, Trifix's internal decision regarding the release of Escrow funds is final and binding as per the Terms of Service. For larger disputes, if internal resolution fails, the matter may be referred to independent mediation in Uyo, with costs shared equally by the parties.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address or phone number associated with your account. You will receive a reset link via email or SMS. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

How do I update my profile or bank details?

Log in to the app or website, go to "Profile" or "Account Settings." You can update your contact information, profile picture, and bank account details there. Changes to bank details may require re-verification for security purposes.

How do I delete my Trifix account?

You can request account deletion by contacting our support team at privacy@trifix.ng. Please note that we may retain certain data for legal and regulatory compliance as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Is the Trifix app available on iOS?
